Hello and welcome to my ePortfolio page. This website contains a collection of some my academic work. The samples submitted are comprised of both undergraduate and graduate level courses. My goal is to demonstrate the progression toward improvement in the areas of writing and use of various software programs.
Additionally, I've included a summation of my varied work experience all of which has afforded me opportunity to advance educationally as well as professionally.
I hope this gives you a little insight into who I am.
More About Me
I'm what many would consider a student of advanced age. I graduated from high school in Dallas, Texas in the late eighties and entered community college immediately thereafter. But I only graduated from college with my undergraduate degree in December of 2020, a full 32 years after taking my first college course. And while my story is long, with a lot of stops and starts, it is not unlike so many who have had the same dream and desire that I did which was to become a college graduate. But thanks to the loving support of my family and friends I was finally able to realize my dream.
Prior to starting a family, I held many positions in corporate America, some great, while others were just a paycheck. But I tried to find something of value in each experience to take with me to the next position. I’ve worked in insurance, banking, telecom, and the automotive fleet industry, building my knowledge in areas such as general ledger accounting, ATM processing and risk management, database management, and client and account management. All of my prior jobs were steppingstones to the next and helped me be successful regardless of the requirements.
